Thank you for taking an interest in my art and stopping by my commissions page. It has been a dream of mine since childhood to make a career through my artwork. Thanks to the advances of technology and the internet, a whole world of opportunities has opened up for artists like myself to do just that. If you are looking to invest in a unique and personal work of art, I hope you will trust in me to create it for you.

Below you will find all the information you will need to decide what kind of commission you might like me to create as well as how to begin the commission process. My goal is to make the process easy for you and to deliver a one of a kind work of art into your hands.

Please be sure to read all the information below before contacting me for a commission. If you still have any questions, do not be afraid to ask.

Process & Tools of the Trade

I begin by sketching, drawing, and shading each piece with pencil.
Inking the image is done with Sakura Pigma Micron pens, or watercolor paints and a fine line paintbrush.
I paint with Sakura Koi, Grumbacher, and Winsor & Newton watercolor paints.
All commissions are done on 140 lb. Canson watercolor paper.

Pricing

Prices of commissions are set according to the estimated time and effort it will take to do each piece. A complex portrait with a background that has been drawn, shaded, inked, and painted will take far longer to complete (one week) than a simple black and white portrait that has only been drawn and shaded (three days). This will lead to the complex portrait costing more than the simple portrait.

My commissions start out at 8 x 10 inch. You may request a larger 10 x 13 inch or 11 x 14 inch image, but this will add to the final price of the commission.

The finished commissioned piece will be mailed to you. Shipping charges will be figured into the final price of the commission. Locals can pick up their commission at no extra cost.

Terms of Service

  • All payment must be made before I begin to work on a commissioned piece. If I am unable to start on your commission immediately (see the next point below) then you will not be required to pay until I am ready to begin work on your piece.
  • I work on a first-come-first-serve basis. I have a running list of commissions in the order I receive them, and they are completed in that order. When you commission me I will inform you of the number of commissions I have before you, and will notify you when I am able to begin your commission.
  • Once full payment has been made, it is non refundable.
  • If for any reason I am unable to finish a commission, I will refund your payment in full.
  • I reserve the right to turn down a commission for any reason.
  • I reserve the right to post your commission on my website and any associated social media. If the commission is of a personal nature, you may request that it not be posted.
  • You reserve the right to share and display your commissioned piece in person or on social media. If you choose to do so please be sure to credit me as the artist.
  • Please keep in mind that I do have a day job. This unfortunately prevents me from spending all day in my studio and extends the time it takes to complete a commission.
  • I aim to finish commissions in a timely manner and to the highest standard. However, a circumstance may arise that may affect my ability to work (such as illness or family emergency). If such a case arises, I will notify you of any delays and keep you updated on the progress.
  • You will receive the original work of art you commissioned. I reserve the right to retain a digital copy of the work for my artist portfolio.
  • Your commissioned artwork will be mailed to you. The price of shipping will be figured into the final cost of the work. If you live in or near the greater North Little Rock/Sherwood Arkansas area, you may choose to set up a meeting with me to receive the finished work.

Payment Policy

  • I accept PayPal. Once the commission order has been finalized and I am able to begin work on the piece, I will email you a link to my PayPal so payment can be made.
  • I am willing to accept cash or check from anyone living in or near the North Little Rock/Sherwood Arkansas area. Once the order has been finalized and I am able to begin work on the piece, I will set up a meeting with you to receive payment.
