Handmade Korok Figure, 2020

polymer clay, gouache, paper, wire, dry moss, wood base

This floating Korok figure was an anniversary gift for my husband. We are both big Legend of Zelda fans and I wanted to make him something that was special and one of a kind.

The tree stump, Korok, and mushrooms are all made of oven baked polymer clay painted with gouache. The base is wood covered in moss, and the leaf is wire and paper. The Silent Princess flower was a delicate challenge made of polymer clay, wire, and fishing line for the stamen. Everything was sealed with a couple coats of polycrylic.

This little guy was a labor of love and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came out. My husband was blown away and now it sits proudly on his display shelf.
